Meet Steve Highlander

Steve Highlander is first and formost a dedicated Christian. He was ordained in 1990 and holds a doctorate in Pastoral Theology from Faith Bible College in Independence, MO. He and his wife Brooke currently reside in Nevada, MO where they pursue a variety of ministries including house church, managing an on line Bible College, presenting FREEDOM SEMINARS, ledership development, Internet ministry, material development and encouraging the church at large as apostolic leaders. He and Brooke, who has a doctorate in Scriptural Psychology, are both Certified Christian Counselors. The Highlanders currently operate under the banner of C3M Ministries. C3M stands for Church in the 3rd Millennium. The ministry focuses on returning the Church to a New Testament expression of faith and practice.
Ministry Experience
Pastor: Steve has served as pastor of three churches in the Midwest.
Prison Ministry: Steve founded Door of Hope Prison Ministries and, along with his team, conducted over 450 services inside prison walls. Steve still participates in and trains people for prison and jail ministry.
Radio Ministry: While in Western Kansas brother Highlander produced and spoke on two popular radio broadcasts that aired on two secular stations. One was a country station in Oberlin, KS and the other a rock station in McCook, NE. The Midnight Cry was 15 minute Sunday morning program and Crossfire Daily Devotional was a 3 minute daily devotional airing Monday thru Friday.
Mission Work: Steve was in West Africa twice (Nigeria, Ghana, Togo) and Mexico once. In Africa he worked with The West African Center for Ministerial Studies training indigenous pastors and leaders, and conducting revival meetings.
At Risk Teens: Brooke and Steve served as chaplains at a private mental health hospital and for the Missouri National Guard ShowMe Challenge Program, a boot camp style program for at risk teens. Brooke has also worked professionally for a number of private mental health providers as well at the State of Missouri Division of Youth Services.
Author: Brother Highlander has authored a number of teaching booklets and is a published author with articles published in the only Daily Christian Newspaper in the Country and in a devotional magazine.
Internet Ministry: Steve maintains a number of Internet based ministries, including a Bible College , a web site where anyone can ask a question and connect with a pastor at www.talktoapastor.com, and His current ministry site www.c3mministries.
Bible College: Dr. Highlander serves as Dean of Acts Ministry University (AMU) www.actsministryuniversity.com. AMU is division of Acts Ministry, Inc, headquartered in Springfield, MO. The vision of AMU is to train workers for the last days harvest field.
Internet Business: World Visions Internet Services, LLC is a Christian web development company that Steve and his partner Rchard Bartz own. The company currently manages over 200 web sites and builds several per month. See them at www.wvis.net.
