C3M stands for Church in the 3rd Millennium.  C3M Ministries was founded with a desire to see the Church return to New Testament faith and practice.  What we see today as traditional church is a far cry from what the early Christians experienced.  Not only are our structures tainted by years of ecclesiastical tradition, but the very concept of what the Church really is has been lost.  The word “Church” never referred to a building, organization, denomination or even a specific time or place people meet.  The Church is and was the people themselves.  The Ecclessia were “called out ones.” In the strictest sense of the word you can not “go to church” because you are the church.

Additonally the main object of “church” is to 1. keep poeple coming and 2. get them to give.  Hopefully somewher ein the process there will be enough programs to make a spiritual dent in the lives of the parishoners.

Discipleship, accountability, leadership development and evangelism are all nearly non-existant in the modern church.  Professional clergy have replaced a genuine body ministry and the church of Jesus Christ had been reduced from a dynamic living organism where every person had a vibrant relationship with God and a place of service to Sunday morning spectators.

God wants His Church to return to a New Testament expression of faith and practice at any cost.  That cost may include our pride, positions, titles and some cherished traditions.  Doing things God’s way has never been easy, it is called - the cross, and it brings death to self.
